Privacy Policy

Information we use

When you create an account or sign in, we use Clerk to provide authentication and account management. If you choose Google sign-in, Google may provide Clerk and ClueCut with your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture, according to the permissions shown to you. We use this information to identify your account, sign you in, maintain your session, and support your account. Google sign-in requests basic OpenID, email, and profile permissions; it does not request access to your Gmail or Google Drive contents.

When you visit ClueCut, Cloudflare receives the network requests needed to deliver and protect the site. These requests can include your IP address, browser information, requested address, and other technical information transmitted by your browser. Clerk also processes information needed to provide authentication and protect accounts.

In the current browser-based release, project and chat data and some interface preferences are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing site data, using another browser, or losing access to your device can remove access to those locally saved items. A project file you download is stored wherever you choose on your device.

Cookies and browser storage

ClueCut and Clerk use cookies or similar technologies to support sign-in, sessions, and security. ClueCut also uses browser storage for locally saved projects and preferences. Your browser settings can remove or limit this data; doing so may sign you out or remove locally saved work.

Service providers

We use Clerk for authentication, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and Cloudflare to deliver the website. These providers process information as necessary to provide their services. Their own notices describe their respective practices: Clerk, Google, and Cloudflare. Clerk states that processing of customer data is governed by its agreements with its customers rather than its general privacy policy.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account information while your account remains active, until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. Service providers may retain some information where needed for security, backups, or legal obligations, subject to their applicable terms and policies.

You can sign out and you can delete your account through the Security section of the ClueCut account portal. Deleting your account does not automatically remove projects stored in your browser; you can remove those using your browser's site-data controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Contact us to make a request.

We may update this notice as ClueCut changes. We will post the updated notice on this page. For privacy or account questions, contact kaoshock123@gmail.com.
